House Conversions

We have carried out many residential conversions and remodels throughout the UK and will be putting up photos of many more schemes here soon.  For now, here are two of our favourites.  

At Home Farm we were posed with a typical problem facing many barn conversions.  Due to the narrow width of the building, all rooms interconnected with each other. To get to the bedrooms you had to enter the lounge, pass through the kitchen and then the utility.  There was a lack of circulation space.  As part of the entire remodelling of the building we developed a solution to extend to the front to not only create a new entrance, but a whole circulation zone for both the ground and upper floors.  Being a historic building of local significance we were limited to styles, however our client requested something a contemporary.  Our approach was therefore to make the extension appear as if it were part of the original building, and to then create a full height glazed lobby with seamless roof glazing as a modern insertion within this...
