Franchise Design & Fit-out Branding.

We are geared for working both with existing franchises as well as providing our own detailed design and branding for all aspects of new commercial fit-outs. We cover such items as furniture, lighting, decor, fixtures and fittings, through to detailed construction information for joinery and other bespoke items. We work closely with brands to ensure a consistent approach throughout their stores.

Through the creation of design manuals we are able to provide an aesthetic ethos as well as physical construction information that can be applied to a brand throughout all of their stores. We can detail the way forward for expansion from the initial pilot shop, the first multiples, and on to a fully detailed manual with regional and countrywide variations for global expansion. We can even tailor the design so that customisation appears whist maintaining the brand, creating unique but familiar concepts away from the tradition of cookie cutter design.

We are understand the way in which franchise multiples operate, and most importantly we know how to manage, expand and develop the complexities of both planning and design for these models.
Interior Design.

We design commercial interiors for coffee shops, cafés, and dessert parlours with hundreds of built shops throughout the UK.  We provide a complete one-stop shop design process from conception to completion, acting as planning consultant, principal designer and agent in addition to the traditional fit-out designer role.  We design, brand, and manage stores for major global franchises as well as smaller boutique units.  

We are also actively engaged with the re-imaging of existing shops, amending layouts for increased turnover as well as bringing forward aesthetics to the latest trends and specifications.  We understand the theatre of coffee, gelato and food production, the operation, and the customer environment required to facilitate it.

Our architectural background means that we can further integrate such items as structural re-designs, extensions, and even new build units into any proposal that allows us to maximise economic potential from the entirety of any building or site.  We are experienced in work flow, covers, equipment, floor areas and analysing  potential issues arising from tenant, environmental or local authority constraints.  We can  produce any level of detail required to achieve the final built scheme, inclusive of areas such as building regulations, production information and contract administration, through to 3d modelling and BIMx.
Planning.

We have experience of working a diverse range of sectors and buildings; commercial to residential; contemporary to historical and modular to bespoke units. Our locations have covered listed buildings within conservation areas to open countryside and green belt zones through to urban, city centre, shopping malls and stations.

Our planning services cover the breadth of the UK, and we pride ourselves in having an unrivalled success rate in changes of use  applications and now consider ourselves to be one of the leading specialists in this sector.

We address all aspects of planning and undertake a detailed analysis of the history and setting within local and national policy for each individual site we work with. We then provide recommendations for the best procedural method for the submission of planning. We act as your agent throughout, tracking progress, providing updates and dealing with council queries along the way. Most importantly, we will represent you where applications are taken to hearings either at committee or appeal. We have never had a refusal at planning committee where we have presented.
Architecture.

​Our architectural background means that we are not confined to just the interior. We seek to always maximise a sites commercial potential by combining an experience of both residential and commercial typologies. From simple conversions of wasted floor areas through to modifications, extensions and new development, there isn't a single building or scheme that won't excite us.
