Our Studio.
The Fitted Rigging House is a Grade I Scheduled Ancient Monument at the heart of Chatham’s world-famous Historic Dockyard. Built in 1793 for the Royal Navy during the Age of Sail, it was originally used as a rigging and storehouse, supplying essential equipment to some of the most significant warships of the period. Its grand Georgian proportions and robust construction reflect both the Dockyard’s strategic importance and the craftsmanship of the era.
Following a major conservation programme, the building has been carefully adapted for new uses while retaining its historic character. Today, the ground floor houses the Dockyard’s library and collections alongside the engaging Steam, Steel and Submarine gallery. On the upper floors, the building provides space for archives, conservation, and creative studios. You’ll find us on the second floor, north end of the building. Look out for our giant pencil!

An image only tells part of the story. To see what we really do, why not visit one of our completed projects?
We're mapping our commercial projects throughout the UK (and beyond), with new locations added regularly. Use the links below to explore projects near you.
The maps show schemes that are open to the public. We’ve also delivered many private residential and past projects that aren’t listed - for obvious reasons, we can’t invite drop-ins to those! If you’d like more details on our wider work, just get in touch.
